September 25 is your day! Every year, Franco-Ontarians proudly celebrate their rich Francophone culture. Officially recognized since 2010, this date symbolizes the unity of more than 1.5 million French-speaking people across the province.
Join us this year for a day of pride, connection, and celebration of Ontario’s Francophone culture. This special day will highlight our community’s contribution to the cultural and social vitality of Kingston and the Thousand Islands region.

To close out this day of celebration, continue the festivities with Moonfruits,
co-presented by the Centre culturel Frontenac (CCF) at Théâtre Le Sésame.
Moonfruits—led by Ottawa-based partners Alex Millaire and Kaitlin Milroy—craft contemporary folk, organically alternating between French and English, that addresses our collective humanity with heart, wit, and wonder. This Stingray Rising Star, SOCAN, and Trille Or award-winning group has toured their transportive live show across Canada, the US, France, Belgium, and Germany. Moonfruits’ lushly orchestrated sophomore album, Salt (Oct. 2022), is a 12-song suite that explores what it means to the band to live, dream, and raise a child in an era of climate change and deepening inequality. It tells the stories of their families and the kinds of communities they hope to help build.
