Labourer/Slinger Job Description

Kimco Steel Sales Ltd is currently seeking a Warehouse Labourer/Slinger to join our team on the New Steel Warehouse Day Shift. 7 a.m.to 5 p.m.

Job Type: Full Time

Job Requirement: The individual must be capable of working as part of a team, punctual, hardworking and must be able to work at height. (up to 10 feet)

Duties & Responsibilities:

· Learning the products

· Assisting the Overhead Crane/Mobile Crane operators in selecting material and preparing the material for lifting and loading on to trailers for shipment

Assisting customers in loading their orders onto their vehicle

· Clean-up around work area

· Comfortable wearing a fall protection system and working at height up to 10 feet

· Any other duties/task as directed by the supervisor

Requirements/Work Experience

· High School Diploma preferred

· Experience in Rigging and Overhead Crane Operations would be a preferred asset

· Current Valid Working at Height certification would also be a preferred asset

Knowledge & Skills Requirements:

· Must be able to accurately use a measuring tape

· Note: Must be able to pass a simple Math test (using a measuring tape)
