About this Opportunity:

We are looking for an Operations & Maintenance Coordinator to help keep our construction equipment, fleet, and maintenance operations running safely and efficiently. Working closely with Project Managers, Supervisors, operators, mechanics, and service providers, this role will coordinate equipment availability, maintenance, repairs, and shop priorities while helping minimize equipment downtime.

Responsibilities, but not limited to:

  • Coordinate equipment and fleet requirements across active and upcoming projects.
  • Track equipment location, availability, assignments, and maintenance status.
  • Coordinate preventive maintenance, repairs, inspections, and certifications.
  • Work with operators, mechanics, dealers, and outside service providers to address equipment issues.
  • Coordinate equipment movement between projects, yards, and the shop.
  • Prioritize shop work based on operational requirements.
  • Provide hands-on support for shop and project activities as required, including preparing materials and equipment, cleaning, inventory management, and storage.
  • Support shop administration, including purchase order (PO) creation, processing, and invoice preparation.
  • Coordinate emergency breakdowns and follow up on outstanding repairs.
  • Maintain accurate equipment, maintenance, and repair records.
  • Track maintenance costs, warranties, and recurring equipment issues.
  • Support equipment replacement and lifecycle planning.
  • Ensure applicable compliance and maintenance documentation is maintained.

Qualifications/Experience:

  • High school diploma or GED.
  • Experience in construction, equipment, fleet, maintenance, or operations coordination.
  • Knowledge of heavy equipment, trucks, trailers, and general construction operations.
  • Experience working with operators, mechanics, supervisors, vendors, and service providers.
  • Strong organizational and scheduling skills.
  • Experience with maintenance tracking or fleet management systems is an asset.
  • Knowledge of equipment inspections, maintenance requirements, and regulatory requirements is an asset.
