Starting wage: $19.05/hour paid bi-weekly via direct deposit

What’s the job?

Overview: Assist drivers and work with a team of movers and packers to load/unload, pack/unpack household or office goods during all phases of the move.  Regular shifts are Monday through Friday, 7:45 am* start time with the possibility of occasional evening and weekend shifts. Variable hours through week based on job volume. *some shifts will start earlier based on job-specific parameters

Key Duties:

• Assist with the loading and unloading of household goods shipments, at residences and warehouse

• Assist with loading/unloading of appliances and fine furniture for commercial deliveries

• Assist with packing/unpacking of breakable items

• Maintain a clean and safe work area

• Assist with truck/trailer upkeep including folding of moving blankets, breaking down of packing material, washing vehicle and equipment as required

Key Skills:

• Fast learner: able to take on new tasks and areas of responsibility in a short time frame

• Customer service

• Capable of safely lifting up to 75 pounds (this is a physically demanding role)

• Enjoys physical labour

• Attention to detail (this is where you can really shine!)

• Good team-player—enjoys working with others to accomplish goals

• Dependable and willing to work (your teammates will be counting on you)

Qualifications:

• Household goods moving/storage/packing experience an asset

• Physical fitness—able to work long hours at physically demanding tasks

• Bilingualism an asset

• Valid G licence an asset
