Job Overview
We are seeking a highly motivated and experienced Finance and Insurance Manager to oversee the financial services operations within our dealership. This pivotal role involves guiding customers through financing options, insurance products, and related services to enhance their purchasing experience. The ideal candidate will possess strong sales acumen, excellent customer service skills, and a solid understanding of dealership finance processes.
Responsibilities
- Manage and coordinate all aspects of finance and insurance activities for the dealership
- Assist customers in selecting suitable financing and insurance options tailored to their needs
- Develop and maintain relationships with lenders, insurance providers, and other financial institutions
- Conduct negotiations to secure favorable terms for customers while ensuring profitability for the dealership
- Educate customers on various financial products, including warranties, protection plans, and insurance policies
- Ensure compliance with all legal and regulatory requirements related to finance and insurance transactions
- Work closely with sales staff to facilitate a seamless sales process from vehicle selection to financing completion
- Insure compliance with manufacturer's training requirements
Skills
- You must posses a valid OMVIC license and a valid class G drivers license.
- Proven experience in financial services within the automotive or dealership industry
- Strong negotiation skills with the ability to close deals effectively
- Excellent customer service skills to build trust and rapport with clients
- Sales-oriented mindset with a focus on achieving targets
- Solid understanding of dealership operations, finance procedures, and regulatory compliance
- Proficiency in math for calculating loan terms, interest rates, and payment plans
- Ability to analyze credit applications and assess risk accurately
- Leadership qualities with the ability to train and develop team members effectively
