Busy East End Kingston manufacturer required extra hands in their Accounting and Paryroll Dept. Duties will include :
Key Responsibilities:
Payroll
Monitor time and attendance
Obtain overtime approvals
Calculate commissions
Process garnishment requests
Process and close bi-weekly payroll
Calculate and process payment of all government remittances
Administration of company group insurance policy
Answer all payroll questions from employees
Prepare reports for management
Journal Entries
Accounts Receivable
Invoicing
Cash Receipts
Accounts Receivable Collections
Bank Balances and Month End Bank Reconciliation
Journal Entries
Balancing Sub Ledgers to the General Ledger
A/R Aged Trial Balance
Accounts Payable
Verifying Packing Slips, Purchase Orders and Vendor Invoices and enter into the accounting software
Maintain and Update Vendor Accounts
Monthly Check Run
HST Remittance
The successful candidate will have 2+ years experience in a similar role. Must have top notch English communication skills, combined with an eye for detail and be a strong team player!
