had the privilege of attending the job search bootcamp at ACFOMI in September 2024, and it was an incredibly valuable experience. From the moment I walked in, I felt welcomed and supported by the team. The bootcamp was not only informative but also fun, interactive, and respectful. je suis Thierry, j'ai fais la connaissance de ACFOMI il y'a deux mois de cela, lors de la rencontre pour nouvel arrivant, et j'ai tout de suite été impressionné par l'accueil que nous avons reçu et la disponibilité des uns et des autres. plus encore les efforts déployés pour que nous puisons trouvé une logement et un emploi. bien que cela n'est pas été favorable pour nous, ça quand même été une bonne expérience. ACFOMI doit plus encore tisser des relations avec les entreprises, et les propriétaires de logements, afin de favoriser l'intégration rapide des nouveaux arrivants.
Un gros merci à l'équipe de l'ACFOMI, de la réception de ma demande de visite en salle de classe pour un groupe de 12e jusqu'à la présentation en tant que telle. Du partage de matériel et réponses aux nombreuses questions d'élèves, le personnel de l'ACFOMI fut très accommodant et patient.

Je suis francophone et grâce aux services de l’Acfomi, je suis bien intégré dans la ville de Kingston.
En participant au Programme d’accès à l’emploi pour les jeunes, j’ai développé des compétences qui m’ont permis d’obtenir un placement comme préposé aux déjeuners au Comfort Inn. J’ai maintenant passé ma période de probation et j’ai signé un engagement de 2 ans.
Je suis heureux de m'intégrer dans la ville de Kingston, d’apprendre l’anglais et grâce à Dieu, je me construis une nouvelle vie.

Thank you for letting us interview your client for 40 minutes. I learned a whole lot from listening to Kossi. It was quite interesting learning about his home country. We liked how he told us about what he had to go through in his past. We also liked hearing about your hospital experience, when they said to go home and they would call you tomorow but what you thought they wanted you to stay. That must have been so frustrating!
