As we continue to grow, we’re looking for a friendly, reliable, and detail-oriented Cashier to join our team and be the face of Otter Creek Kitchen during guest interactions.

Position Overview:
As a Cashier at Otter Creek Kitchen, you will play a vital role in delivering a seamless and positive experience for our guests from start to finish. You'll be responsible for handling transactions, processing orders, and providing excellent customer service in both our restaurant and at special events where our catering food truck is operating. If you love working with people and have a keen eye for detail, this is the perfect position for you!

Key Responsibilities:

• Greet guests warmly, providing a friendly and professional first impression of Otter Creek Kitchen.
• Accurately process guest orders, including food, beverages, and any additional purchases.
• Handle cash, credit, and debit transactions using our point-of-sale (POS) system with precision and efficiency.
• Provide accurate change, receipts, and process tips for service staff when applicable.
• Ensure all orders are correctly entered into the system and communicated to kitchen staff in a timely manner.
• Answer customer questions about the menu, restaurant offerings, and any current promotions or events.
• Ensure the checkout area is clean, organized, and stocked with necessary supplies (e.g., napkins, straws, to-go containers).
• Support the team in maintaining a smooth and efficient flow of service, especially during busy hours.
• Assist with other front-of-house duties as needed, including refilling condiments, cleaning tables, or packaging to-go orders.
• Provide exceptional customer service, handling any guest concerns or issues with professionalism and courtesy.
• Occasionally assist with special events, catering orders, or food truck service when needed.

Qualifications:

• Previous experience in a cashier or customer service role, preferably in a restaurant or retail environment.
• Strong communication skills, with a friendly and approachable demeanor.
• Ability to multi-task and work efficiently in a fast-paced environment.
• Excellent organizational skills and attention to detail.
• Comfortable working with cash and handling POS systems.
• A positive attitude and a passion for providing exceptional customer service.
• Availability to work evenings, weekends, and holidays, based on the needs of the restaurant and catering events.
• Ability to work well with a team and support other front-of-house roles as needed.
