After releasing a first EP in 2017 and the album\u00a0Petikat<\/em>\u00a0in 2018, he returned in 2022 with\u00a0Tipatshimushtunan<\/em>\u2014produced by Louis-Jean Cormier. Backed by outstanding musicians, he delivers a live performance that is both festive and moving, infused with humour and sensitivity. Through lyrics inspired by his daily life, his community, and the Indigenous quest for identity, Matiu connects with audiences with authenticity and energy.<\/p>\nKnown for his memorable performances, Matiu has toured throughout Quebec, across Canada, Europe, Texas, and Africa. He has performed at numerous festivals including the Francos de Montr\u00e9al, the Festival d\u2019\u00e9t\u00e9 de Qu\u00e9bec (FEQ), the FME, and Le Festif!
