Source, Kingston – Ontario, May 20, 2022 – The Board of Directors is proud to announce the hiring of Ms. Laurianne Montpetit as Executive Director of ACFOMI. Ms. Montpetit has over ten years of experience in community development and education. She has spent the last two years of her professional life in employability as an Employment Counsellor and Team Leader at ACFOMI. Demonstrating initiative and leadership, following a model of collaboration and respect, she knows how to manage changing situations, rally around common issues and find innovative solutions. In addition to having a strong knowledge of the organization’s operations and strategic planning, she demonstrates a willingness to make a long-term commitment by demonstrating integrity and ethics in the workplace.
“For us, it was important to find the ideal person for this strategic position. Laurianne distinguished herself during the selection process by her extensive knowledge of the organization and the community, as well as having the expertise and motivation to assume her new responsibilities. Our Executive Director, Mrs. Dubois, will accompany her with enthusiasm to support an efficient transition and the continuity of our services to the community. Laurianne will take up her new position on July 1st, 2022, mentioned Mrs. Élaine Constant, President of ACFOMI.
“I am very proud of the decision made by the Board of Directors. Laurianne knows ACFOMI, understands the community and is very effective in the workplace. Her ability to manage projects, collaborate with colleagues and connect with people has always impressed me,” said Michèle Dubois, ACFOMI Executive Director.
“I am an enthusiastic person, full of ideas and a quick learner. I helped develop the organization’s strategic plan and I know that I can support the Board of Directors, manage current projects with the team and propose new projects in line with the organization’s vision. I am ready to fully commit myself and to lead ACFOMI for many years to come,” added Ms. Montpetit.
Michèle Dubois will remain in her position until July 1st and the organization is already planning celebrations to mark her invaluable contribution. The transition is now fully underway, and continuity is assured.
