It was a great pleasure to work with ACFOMI both in a professional capacity, as an employer having their assistance with hiring of staff, and in a personal capacity, having their assistance with securing employment for myself. Carl and Diane are both exceptional people who are a joy to work with; many many thanks to you both!

Even though I've worked on the frontlines for the last 23 years, I found that I still had a lot to learn at the Bridging Intercultrual Awareness workshop. Thanks for such a great series.

Thank you for letting us interview your client for 40 minutes. I learned a whole lot from listening to Kossi. It was quite interesting learning about his home country. We liked how he told us about what he had to go through in his past. We also liked hearing about your hospital experience, when they said to go home and they would call you tomorow but what you thought they wanted you to stay. That must have been so frustrating!

Thanks again for coming,

Hi Natalia,
I humbly write to say a very big thank you on behalf of my family for all your assistance that enabled us achieve the Canadian citizenship. We eventually wrote the citizenship knowledge tests and were all successful. Thank you and God bless you immensely.

The team at ACFOMI is dedicated to helping individuals in the Kingston community find meaningful employment. I had the pleasure of getting to know Jackie, and she genuinely took every step to support me in reaching my career-related objective. But the best part…we shared some wonderful laughs along the way! She pushed me when I needed it, and I am very grateful. Thank you to Jackie and the ACFOMI team! Michelle C.L. Vieira, MEd.

It's great going to workshops that provide thought provoking content that can actually have an impact on your day to day approach to work (and people in general). What a great program!

I work in an agency that offers programming for a diverse range of people, and the Bridging Intercultural Awareness workshop series provided me with a lot of useful and interesting information. It was definitely time well spent!

The Bridging Intercultural Workshop was both challenging and insightful. The instructor was knowledgeable and conscientious about the topic of each session and his ability to create a comfortable and open-minded environment to discuss some very heavy topics was very refreshing. Participating in a wide breadth of discussions on culture shock, assumptions, misinterpretations, and evaluations was invaluable. I walked away from each session feeling confident that I had learned something new and that the experiences I shared were respected.
This course is for everyone, regardless of your background, I highly recommend it.
