ACFOMI is committed to the development and vitality of Kingston and the Thousand Islands region Francophone community.

ACFOMI is hosting a speaker series entitled: “One City, Two Realities: Discussions Between Francos and Anglos 50 years After the Official Languages Act”.

The series began in September 2019 with several themes that will take place over a two year period.  All speaker’s series will be recorded and made available to download as a podcast on our website.

Guest speakers are invited to each session that will take place in both official languages to discuss topics that include: politics, culture, healthcare, family life, etc.

The Kingston Frontenac Public Library in historic downtown Kingston will host the speaker’s series in their newly renovated facilities.

During COVID-19, the podcasts are being recorded while respecting physical distancing. As soon as we can gather together safely, the ‘One City, Two Realities’ podcast series will continue to be recorded live and will feature a questions period.
