- + $7.00/hour on any last-minute shift posted with less than 12 hours notice

Qualifications:
- REQUIRED: Completion or enrolment of a recognized Food Service Worker program
- REQUIRED: Food Handlers Safety Awareness Certification
- REQUIRED: A valid G2/G driver's license and access to a reliable vehicle are required as the work locations can be within a travel radius of 30-60 minutes from where you reside.
- Zone A: Kingston, Northbrook, Amherstview, Napanee & Picton
- Zone C: Napanee, Picton, Belleville, Trenton, Stirling & Tweed
- Flexibility to work a variety of shift types - days, evenings, overnights, 8-or-12-hour shifts, weekdays & weekends
- LTC experience is considered an asset
The specific responsibilities and duties vary slightly between Long-Term Care Homes, as well as from shift to shift. These expectations will be communicated during the site-specific orientation.
- Follow each resident plan of care and communicate any discrepancies to the supervisor in a prompt manner
- Prepare tables and serving areas for meal services
- Assist with food/meal production
- Prepare trays/plates and/or distribute the resident meals and snacks according to the diet list/individual diet menus and the residents’ preferences
- Maintain a sanitary and clean working environment in line with infection control techniques
- Maintains food handling protocols and infection control practices in keeping with public health practice and applicable legislation
- Transport dishes to/from dining rooms and kitchen.
- Receive, store and manage the inventory of resident food and food service supplies
- Prepare nourishments and carts for service
- Prepare supplements and thickening fluids for texture-altered diets
