Personalized Support for Immigrant Newcomers

Information and Orientation
The information and orientation service helps immigrant newcomers access the programs and services they need to settle in the community they choose to call home. Practical information relevant to settling into daily life like public transportation, employment, education, the Canadian judicial system, etc. are provided.
Needs Evaluation

Evaluating settlement needs helps newcomers express and recognize what they need to settle in the community. After consulting with a settlement advisor to determine eligibility, the advisor will create a settlement action plan and evaluate the needs of newcomers, taking into consideration all dimensions of the person’s life.

Parents Information and Orientation Session
The information sessions at the local French schools helps parents access the settlement services in Kingston. This program helps francophone schools offer the services to recently landed families.
Translation and Interpretation Services
The translation and interpretation services assist immigrant newcomers overcome specific challenges related to language skills. This service aims to provide continuous support.
Transportation Assistance
Clients can benefit from a support service to help immigrant newcomers overcome specific challenges related to transportation
