Business Development Manager

Employment Type: Full-Time
Reports To: Owners Rep

We represent a leading carpentry construction company specializing in residential, and commercial construction. With a reputation for craftsmanship and quality, we are committed to delivering exceptional construction solutions to our clients. We are seeking a dynamic and results-driven Business Development Manager to expand our market presence and build strong client relationships.

Key Responsibilities:

Market Research & Strategy:

  • Identify and evaluate new business opportunities in the carpentry construction sector.
  • Develop and implement strategic business development plans to achieve growth targets.
  • Analyze market trends, competitor activities, and client needs to identify opportunities for innovation and improvement.

Client Relationship Management:

  • Build and maintain strong relationships with potential and existing clients, suppliers, and stakeholders.
  • Act as the primary point of contact for clients, ensuring exceptional service and satisfaction.

Proposal Development & Sales:

  • Prepare and present compelling proposals, bids, and contracts tailored to client requirements.
  • Negotiate contracts and close deals to achieve revenue goals.

Collaboration:

  • Work closely with project managers, estimators, and design teams to align business development efforts with project execution.
  • Collaborate with marketing teams to create promotional materials and campaigns targeting key market segments.

Reporting & Analysis:

  • Track and report on business development activities, pipeline metrics, and performance against targets.
  • Provide actionable insights to senior leadership for informed decision-making.

Qualifications:

  • Bachelor’s degree in Business Administration, Marketing, Construction Management, or a related field.
  • Minimum 3-5 years of experience in business development, sales, or account management, preferably in construction or carpentry.
  • Strong understanding of the carpentry construction industry, including materials, processes, and market dynamics.
  • Proven track record of achieving or exceeding revenue targets.

Skills & Attributes:

  • Excellent communication, negotiation, and presentation skills.
  • Strong analytical and problem-solving abilities.
  • Self-motivated with the ability to work independently and as part of a team.
  • Proficient in CRM software and MS Office Suite.
  • A network of industry contacts is a strong advantage.
