Novari Health is seeking a highly motivated IT Specialist to deliver exceptional technical services, ensuring our employees have a seamless experience with our systems. As an IT Specialist, you will provide comprehensive IT expertise to support Novari Health’s computer applications and infrastructure, facilitate day-to-day activities, and implement systems that enhance business productivity. Additionally, you will contribute to continuous improvement initiatives, enhancing IT processes as Novari Health continues to evolve.

Duties & Responsibilities:

- Communicate with users to identify and resolve IT issues promptly.
- Coordinate and inventory IT equipment, managing user accounts and network drives.
- Consult technical resources to implement solutions and provide support for business systems and networks.
- Diagnose and resolve technical problems, escalating as needed.
- Document interactions and maintain an accurate database.
- Train staff on IT systems and best practices.
- Escalate high-priority issues to the appropriate team members.
- Maintain a log of problems and solutions for reference.
- Assist in developing IT policies and procedures.
- Provide basic troubleshooting and device setup with security configurations.
- Monitor network health and troubleshoot connectivity issues.
- Manage IT asset inventory and software licenses for compliance.
- Ensure timely updates and patches for software and infrastructure.
- Follow security policies during IT tasks and escalate security requests.

- Be prepared to travel as needed, with an updated passport.

Knowledge & Skills:

- Basic troubleshooting of operating systems (Windows, macOS, Linux) and hardware.
- Familiarity with endpoint management tools (Microsoft Intune, SCCM).
- Understanding of basic network concepts (IP addressing, DNS, VPN).
- Proficiency in asset tracking and monitoring/reporting tools.
- Knowledge of ticketing systems (e.g., Azure DevOps).
- Basic cybersecurity principles and software deployment tools (e.g., Chocolatey).
- Familiarity with Azure and Microsoft 365 environments.

Education & Experience:

- Post-secondary education in a computer science-related field.
- Experience in IT support and familiarity with best practices.
- Strong problem-solving skills and a commitment to professional development.
- Experience with Cloud or Hybrid environments (Microsoft Azure) and in the healthcare industry is an asset.

Working Conditions:

- Employee may sit for prolonged periods of time
- Prolonged periods of time viewing computer monitor and keyboarding
- Tight deadlines, with multiple and rapidly changing priorities
- Interacting with internal and external stakeholders
- Open office floor plan means noise and a regular flow of people around the office
- Employee may be required to travel (overnight) as required

Hours of Work:

- Support hours are defined as operationally required
- This position is required to work a variety of shifts, days, evenings, or nights including weekends to potentially provide 24/7 support to clients
- This position is required to work a split-shift for early morning and evening support to clients
- Employee is designated as “on-call” staff member. (Employees are responsible for responding to after-hours support calls within 1 hour of initial contact when designated as being on-call for a given month).
- Expected to work from our Kingston office for a minimum of 3 days per week, with the option to work remotely for 2 days
- Minimum hours of work each week is 40, unless otherwise agreed to between the employee and their manager
- Employee may be required to work additional hours, including weekends
