Job Summary
We are seeking a skilled and passionate Pastry Cook to join our culinary team. The ideal candidate will have a strong background in food preparation and be able to work making all baked items from scratch. As a Pastry Cook, you will be responsible for creating high-quality desserts and pastries that delight our customers while adhering to food safety standards. This role requires attention to detail, a commitment to excellence, and the ability to work efficiently in a fast-paced kitchen environment.
Responsibilities
- Prepare and bake a variety of pastries, cakes, and desserts according to established recipes.
- Decorate donuts and desserts with creativity and precision, ensuring visual appeal.
- Maintain cleanliness and organization of the kitchen workspace, following food safety protocols.
- Assist in the development of new dessert recipes and menu items.
- Package finished products for display or sale while ensuring quality standards are met.
- Collaborate with other kitchen staff to ensure timely service during peak hours.
- Provide excellent customer service by addressing any inquiries related to dessert offerings.
Qualifications
- Proven experience as a Pastry Cook or in a similar role within the food industry.
- Strong skills in food handling, preparation and cleanliness
- Knowledge of food safety regulations and best practices in the kitchen.
- Ability to work well under pressure in a fast-paced restaurant environment.
- Excellent attention to detail and creativity in dessert presentation.
- Strong communication skills and ability to work collaboratively with team members.
- A passion for baking and creating exceptional desserts that enhance customer satisfaction.

Job Type: Full-time
Pay: $18.00-$19.00 per hour
Expected hours: 30 – 36 per week
